Overview

The creator account is the main Xsolla Partner Network tool to apply for campaigns, promote games, and earn revenue share from eligible purchases made through your tracking link, storefront, or promo code. The platform also provides built-in creator tools and analytics to help creators manage campaigns and track performance. To work in the account, you need to sign up with one of these social media accounts: Twitch, YouTube, TikTok or X.

Key features:

  • Revenue share and game key campaign opportunities.
  • A personalized Creator Site (x.la/@yourusername) for your audience, with a storefront featuring a dedicated page for each of your campaigns.
  • Promo code distribution.
  • Built-in creator tools for Twitch channels, including Chatbot and Overlay.
  • Channel and campaign performance tracking.
  • Payouts through supported payout methods.
  • Profile and collaborator management.

How it works

The diagram below illustrates the typical flow of a campaign — from creation by the campaign manager to revenue share payout for the creator.

Basic flow

The typical flow from signing up to receiving your first payout includes the following steps:

  1. Sign up and complete your creator account.
  2. Browse and join campaigns.
  3. Complete payout setup — required before you can withdraw revenue share earnings.
  4. Get your promotion tools and start promoting.
  5. Track your performance and receive payouts.

Best practices

Follow these recommendations to find the right campaigns, get approved, and promote them effectively.

Finding campaigns

Use filters such as Revenue share or Key distribution type on the Campaigns page to find campaigns that match your content and audience. Refer to the Campaigns documentation for more information.

Applying for campaign

Before submitting a campaign application, consider the following:

  • Keep your creator profile and connected social accounts up to date — campaign eligibility is checked automatically based on that data.
  • Review the campaign requirements before applying. Also check the Campaign Agreement shown during application — some campaign managers add specific terms there.
  • Apply to campaigns that match your content and audience.
  • In your application, provide clear information about how you plan to promote the game.
  • If you’re applying to revenue share campaigns, complete payout setup early. If your region or payout method turns out to be unsupported, you won’t be able to withdraw earnings you’ve already made.

Refer to the Campaigns documentation for the full application process.

Promoting approved campaign

Once you’re approved, get the most out of the campaign:

  • Follow the campaign terms and publish the agreed content.
  • Plan your content calendar around your active campaigns — you’re expected to create content in exchange for the game key or promotion tools you received. Check your active campaigns on the My campaigns page regularly so you don’t forget what you still need to create.
  • Use the tracking link, storefront link, or promo code provided for the campaign in all campaign-related content.
  • Share promo codes where applicable — say your code out loud and show it on screen during your stream, and highlight the discount in social posts (e.g., Use code MYCODE for X% off).
  • Use any promo materials from the campaign manager — you’ll find them in the Resources tab of the campaign.
  • Promote your Creator Site together with your campaign materials:
    • pin your tracking link or storefront link in Twitch chat via a bot command, and add it to your channel panels
    • include it in YouTube video descriptions, and pin a comment during livestreams or VODs
    • post it in a dedicated Discord channel and keep it pinned
    • add it to your bio on X, Instagram, TikTok, or other social platforms, or a Linktree-style bio link tool
  • Create content that’s relevant to both the campaign and your audience.
  • If you work with a manager or agency, consider inviting them as a сollaborator with access to just the areas they need, for example statistics for reporting.

Refer to the Get assets after approval section, or the Creator Site, Chatbot, and Overlay documentation for tool-specific setup.

Overlay guidelines

Follow these recommendations when setting up your overlay:

  • Create only the scenes you need — this makes it easier to organize and remember what each scene is for.
  • Keep the focus on your content; alerts are the exception, since they’re meant to stand out.
  • Use the Live or Editor background to preview how the overlay will look on stream.

Refer to the Overlay documentation for detailed setup instructions.
