Working with objects in reports

You can add different types of objects (charts, text, images, or web content) to the report and manage them in the following ways:

For charts, the following options are also available:

Arranging objects

By default, a new report has a tiled layout. In this type of layout, you can only move one object at a time.

To move multiple objects simultaneously, choose the Floating layout. Select several objects with the cursor, make sure they are highlighted with a blue outline, and move them.

Setting object order

By default, a new report has a tiled layout. In this type of layout, overlapping is disabled.

To enable object overlapping, choose the Floating layout. To set up the order of the objects, right-click the chart and hover over Bring to Front or Send to Back options in the drop-down menu.

Resizing objects

Click an object to select it. The selected object will have a blue outline. Click and drag the outline border to resize the object.

Other object management options

Right-click an object to open the drop-down menu and select from these other management options:

  • Duplicate. The duplicated object will be inserted on the same report tab. Once duplicated, your object is completely separate from the original one, so changing it won’t affect the new object, and vice versa.
  • Delete. Deleting an object cannot be undone.
  • Copy style. You can apply the existing formatting (font, colors, labels, etc.) to any other object in the report:
    1. Click the Copy style option in the drop-down menu.
    2. Select another object and choose Paste style.

Editing charts

When a chart is already in the report, you can change its type, measures and dimensions, filters and style. Click the Edit button on the top bar of the report, and then click on the chart that you want to adjust. You will be redirected to the chart editor:

Exporting charts

You can export charts as files with chart data in CSV/XLS and images in the SVG format:

  1. Right-click a chart to open the drop-down menu.
  2. Select Download and choose the format.

Please note that the exported file size is limited to 10 MB and 100,000 rows. If the file size exceeds the 10 MB limit during export, an error message is displayed at the end of the resulting file. If the file exceeds the 100,000 row limit, the extra lines are cut.
