How to enable buying games in the launcher

How it works

The launcher allows users to buy games without leaving its interface. This is called the pay-to-play distribution model.

To enable this distribution model for a game, you first need to add a game key package in the store, and then specify the package SKU for the game in the launcher project.

Who can use it

Partners with pay-to-play games who have integrated Launcher and Buy Button with the Game Keys module.

How to get it

Add a game key package to the store

1. Open your project in Publisher Account.
2. Click Store in the side menu.
3. In Game Keys section, click Connect.
4. You will be redirected to the Game Keys tab.
5. Click New package > Create manually.
6. Specify SKU and Game title.
7. Click Save and continue.
8. Configure the rest of the settings.

As a result, you should have the game key package added to the store. In the example below, 123 is the SKU that you need.

Specify the package SKU for the game in the launcher project

1. Open your project in Publisher Account.
2. Click Launcher in the side menu.
3. Find the launcher on the dashboard, and click Edit launcher.
4. In the Games section, click Set up to the right of your game.
5. Click Distribution.
6. On the Distribution model tab, select Pay-to-play (P2P), and then select the SKU that you specified when creating the game keys package in the store.
