Keymailer program distribution

How it works

Keymailer is an online platform for content creators, game publishers, and developers to promote games and highlight their content. After connecting your partner program to Keymailer, you will get access to 650,000 influencers from YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter with an aggregate audience of over a billion viewers. Once the program is connected, Keymailer influencers will be able to participate in it. Read more about Keymailer benefits in the Xsolla blog.

Note:
Keymailer charges an additional 5% Revenue share on all purchases made via the platform. The amount of the payout to influencers remains unaffected and corresponds to the Revenue share percentage you specify in program settings.

How to get it

To start distributing game keys and tracking links via Keymailer, follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for Keymailer if you don’t have an account.
  2. Create a new program in Partner Network or edit the existing one following the instruction on how to edit active programs.
  3. Go to the Program settings step in the creation mode or to the Partner requirements tab in the editing mode and scroll to the Distribute via Keymailer section.
  4. Set the Keymailer toggle to On.

Note:
The program you create or edit for Keymailer is available after you receive confirmation from the Xsolla Account Manager.

  1. If your game is published on Steam, it will automatically appear in your games list on Keymailer.

Note:
If your game is not published on Steam, contact your Account Manager or email am@xsolla.com. They will make a request to Keymailer to add your game to your games list.

  1. Go to your Keymailer account and click on the game you want to distribute via game keys or tracking links.
  2. In the Keys section, find the Xsolla row and click Manage. You will see a pop-up with a list of the Partner Network programs that you set up for Keymailer distribution.

Note:
The Manage button may take a while to appear, so be patient.

  1. Select the checkbox next to the program you want to run on Keymailer and click Save.

  1. After you save the changes, Keymailer will start distributing game keys and tracking links from your Partner Network program:

  • The Keymailer influencer gets the game key automatically if their channel meets the minimum size requirements for the program.
  • The Keymailer influencer gets the game key only after confirmation if their channel doesn’t meet the minimum size requirements for the program, but the program has the Make this program visible to all influencers without restrictions checkbox selected. To give an eligible influencer a key, do the following:

  1. Go to the game page in Keymailer and open the Requests tab. You will see a list of requests from all influencers who want to get a game key or a tracking link.

  1. In the Xsolla column, select the checkboxes next to the names of the influencers who you want to receive a key or a link.

  1. Click the Offer selected button. The chosen influencers will get a game key or a tracking link.

Influencer flow

After you connect your Partner Network program to Keymailer, influencers from Keymailer will receive your game keys and tracking links.

To receive a game key or a tracking link, the influencer follows these steps:

  1. The influencer opens the game page in Keymailer, finds the Game section, and clicks the Request key button.

Affiliate network representatives should find the Affiliate links section and click the Request button to get a tracking link.

  1. The influencer sees a platform selection pop-up, selects the Xsolla checkbox, and clicks Request key.

  1. In the Game section, the status changes to Key requested.

  1. The influencer clicks the Key requested button and sees the My keys page with a list of all the keys they requested.

  1. The influencer clicks the Redeem button next to the desired key and gets it.

If the influencer channel doesn’t meet the minimum size requirements for the program, but the program has the Make this program visible to all influencers without restrictions checkbox selected, the game key will appear on the My keys page only after you confirm it.
