How to create site for game sales

How it works

You can create a site on Site Builder that allows users to place pre-orders and purchase keys for games on different platforms. Features include:

• Gifting game keys
• Setting up promo codes
• Creating a cart for game keys

How to get it

To set up game keys selling:

1. Create game keys via Publisher Account.
2. Add game keys to your site.
3. Complete and publish the site.

Create via Publisher Account

To create a game key:

1. Open your project in Publisher Account.
2. Click Store in the side menu.
3. In the Game key pane, click:
   • Connect – if you don’t have game keys
   • Configure – if you previously connected game keys
4. On the Game keys tab, click New game key package > Create manually.
5. Set the basic package settings:
   • SKU
   • Game title
   • Attributes (optional)
6. Click Save and continue.
7. Select the game distribution platforms and upload a CSV or TXT file with keys.
8. If you want to sell the game before its official release, set the Pre-orders switch to On. You can specify the release date when the game keys will be delivered to users when creating the keys or later.
9. Click Save and continue.

10. You can set prices or create free keys that users can get without spending real currency:
    • To create a free key package, toggle Free game key.
    • To set a price, toggle Paid game key and specify the price in one or multiple currencies.

If the game is published on the Steam platform, you can import pricing settings from that platform. To do this, click Import via link and specify the link to your game on Steam.

11. If you want to Limit the number of times one user can buy game key toggle to On.
12. Click Save and continue.

Set up in Site Builder

1. Click Site Builder in the side menu.
2. Click Create site.
3. On the page with templates choose any template except Web Shop.
4. Click Add block and choose Store block.
5. Set Item type — Game keys.
6. Use a cart for game keys (optional). To do it go to Cart settings and toggle Use shopping cart to On.
7. If you plan to use promo codes for game keys, set the toggle Show promo codes field to On. To set up promo codes, use the instructions.

Complete your site

To you improve your site’s performance:

1. Add and fill additional blocks.
2. In the left menu, edit the content for each added block, select a global theme, and configure SEO and language settings.
3. Click Publish.

4. Make changes to the domain (optional). To do this, go to Site Builder and click Configure. In the Domain section, edit the Xsolla domain name or use your own domain.

5. To track the site performance, enable analytics and promotion services (optional). To do this, go to Site settings and in the Apps section, connect the necessary services.
