How to set up subscriptions email notifications

You can enable or disable sending individual notifications about subscription changes to users’ email addresses.

You can send notifications and reminders for the following events:

  • activating an auto-renewal subscription
  • activating a manual renewal subscription
  • upcoming manual payment
  • missed manual payment
  • frozen subscription
  • updated subscription plan
  • upcoming auto payment
  • canceling a subscription
  • failed auto payment

To set up notifications:
  1. Open your project in Publisher Account.
  2. Click Subscriptions in the sidebar and go to the Notification management section.
  3. Set the toggle for the required notification to On or Off.
Note

According to legal requirements, you cannot disable notifications for the following events:

  • activating an auto-renewal subscription

  • updated subscription plan

You can customize email templates using the customization tool in Publisher Account.

The following changes are available in the email customization tool:

    • text color
    • colors of buttons, frames, and links
    • tint of the email page
    • the background of the entire screen area
    • rounding corners

To change the email template:

  1. In Publisher Account, go to the Subscriptions > Notification management section.
  2. Select the notification and click Customize email.
  3. Make changes and click Publish.
Note
You can switch between templates inside the email customization tool. To do this, open the drop-down list of templates in the upper settings block and select the template.

Changing the Subject of an Email

Email subject texts are available in 20 languages.

Note
The texts contained in the email template are localized in all languages by default. When you change the subject text of an email, you should also update the text for all locales.
To change the subject line of an email:
  1. In the email customizer, go to the Email subject field in the selected template.
  1. Enter the text in the language that corresponds to the selected locale.
  1. Edit the text for other locales by switching them sequentially in the language menu.
Note
Changes made in the email customizer are saved automatically. You can switch between templates and make new changes. To update the template, click Publish.

Email header change

Email header texts are available in 20 languages.

Note
The texts contained in the email template are localized in all languages by default. If you change the header text, you should also update the text for all locales.
To change the header inside an email:
  1. In the email customizer, click on the email header in the selected template.
  1. Edit the title for the selected locale. The email string contains 32 characters by default. When you enter words with many characters without spaces, the width of the template will increase.
  1. Edit the title for the remaining locales by switching them sequentially in the language menu.

Image upload

To upload an image:

  1. In the email customizer, press ⚙ in the selected template.
  1. In the Image field, upload an image file (supported formats: JPEG, PNG; no larger than 10 MB).

To add social media links in the footer:

  1. In the email customizer, press ⚙ in the selected template.
  1. In the Socials section, set the toggles next to the social networks you want to display in an email.
  1. Click on the link icon next to social networks names and enter your profile’s URL.

Changing the visual design

To change the visual design of the email, use the settings in the Styles block. You can change:

  • text color
  • colors of buttons, frames, and links
  • tint of the email page
  • the background of the entire screen area
  • rounding corners
Note
Color settings in the Button field apply to links and frames.
