How to add media to blocks
You can set images or videos as a custom background in most blocks and add them to individual components within blocks.
How to add image to block
To set an image as a custom background or add an image to a block component:
- Open your project in Publisher Account and go to the Storefronts > Websites section.
- In the pane of the desired site, click Open Site Builder.

- In the block settings, turn on the corresponding toggle (for example, Custom background, Game icon) and click on the preview field below the toggle.

- Click Media.

- In the modal window that opens, upload the image in one of the following ways: A. On the All assets or Images tab, drag and drop the image and click on it after it uploads. B. Click Add new asset, select From device in the drop-down list, and upload the desired image.
Note
- The maximum image size: 10 MB.
- Supported formats: ICO, PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, TIF, SVG.
- The recommended image width for a custom background in a block is 1920 px. Determine suitable image proportions after the necessary content has been added to the block. The recommended sizes for other image types are provided in the block descriptions.

- Configure the image style:
Note
The set of settings depends on the component to which you are adding media.
- Choose the image placement method:
- Contain — the image fills the entire block while maintaining proportions. If the proportions of the image and the block differ, part of the image may be cropped.
- Cover (default) — the image maintains its aspect ratio and fits within the block height.
- Fill (recommended for custom backgrounds) — the image fills the block width and may be cropped at the top and bottom if it exceeds the block height.
Note
A custom background doesn’t have a fixed width or height, as its dimensions dynamically adjust to the block size. The block size changes depending on the content (for example, the amount of text added, presence or absence of buttons) and the screen resolution of the device.
- Fit — the image stretches to the size of the block without maintaining proportions.
- Choose the image position (optional):
- Top left
- Top center
- Top right
- Left
- Center (default)
- Right
- Bottom left
- Bottom center
- Bottom right
Note
If the video already fills the container on one side (for example, by height in Fit mode), the offset only works on the other axis — leaving three options (left, center, or right).
- Adjust the tint and gradient of the image (optional).
- Publish the site.
