Minimum requirements to run a campaign

Pay Station is integrated on a performance-optimized landing page.
Xsolla is an exclusive partner in terms of payments and billing on the game’s landing page (or in client, if revenue sharing is applied to in-game purchases).
A game has a desktop or a web version.
Payment attribution is properly configured.

Campaign type selection

Choose the campaign type to promote your game in the most effective way:

Main campaign types. These campaigns are available to launch in Publisher Account. Within these campaigns you can distribute your game via collaborators with whom Xsolla is already cooperating.
Service campaign types. These new campaigns are designed to help drive more sales and users to your game. At the moment, the opportunity of implementing such campaigns is at the research stage. Let us know which ones are of interest to you by submitting applications in Publisher Account. After you submit them in Publisher Account, Xsolla will process your application and your Customer Success Manager will contact you.

Main campaign types

The campaign type for promoting games via content creators on YouTube, Twitch, etc. A game for this campaign type should have a playable version that allows creators to create video content. Before completing the following steps, learn recommendations about creator campaign parameters. It helps you to attract the most appropriate creators and provide them with the most attractive conditions.

Open your project in Publisher Account, go to the User acquisition > Creator marketing > Campaigns section and click Create campaign.
On the Campaign type step:
1. Enter the campaign name.
2. Select the Creators campaign type.
On the Game profile step:
1. Specify the following:
  - Game title
  - Genre
  - Game developer (optional)
  - Game publisher (optional)
  - Official website URL
  - Campaign description
  - Steam App ID (optional)
  - Release date (optional)
  - Link to promo materials (optional)
2. Select the game’s business model:
  - Premium
  - Free-to-play
3. Select the game’s platform:
  - PC
  - Steam
  - Mobile
  - Web

You can complete the game profile automatically from its Steam page. Click Autofill from Steam, enter your Steam App ID, and click Import.

On the Campaign settings step specify:
1. Campaign terms:
  - participation period
  - revenue sharing percentage
  - end of revenue sharing
  - time zone that determines the participation period and the end of revenue sharing
2. Landing page URL that is automatically converted to the unique tracking link. Each creators who joins the campaign gets this link.
3. Whether requests are moderated. Require approval to join is enabled by default. This means that an creator can apply to join your campaign, and you need to confirm or reject their participation in the campaign.
  You can disable request moderation. To do this:
  1. In White list field check the box Make the campaign available for white list only.
  2. Add creator accounts that can join your campaign without additional moderation.
  In this case, your campaign will not be available to other creators.
4. Landing page name that is shown in the campaign card in Creator Account. The landing page must contain a call-to-action (game purchase).

You can specify the URL and the name for two or more landing pages.

Promo codes settings.
Game keys distribution settings.
Minimum size requirements for creators channels (optional).
Audience exceptions (optional):
- White list. Creators in this list always have access to the campaign. If you add creators to both lists, they can still join your campaign.
- Black list. Creators in this list do not have access to the campaign. If you add creators to both lists, they can still join. If you add them to the black list after they have joined the campaign, they will still have access to it.
Campaign’s target audience (optional):
- Geo
- Languages
- Gender
- Age
Campaigns special terms (optional).

If you want to delay creating the campaign, click Save draft and exit. All your changes will be saved.

Click Submit campaign to complete campaign creation.

Service campaign types

Creator sponsorship

The campaign type for promoting games by making sponsorship deals with content creators on YouTube, and Twitch.

Open your project in Publisher Account, go to the User acquisition > Creator marketing > Campaigns section and click Create campaign.
On the Campaign type step:
1. Enter the campaign name.
2. Select the Creators sponsorship campaign type.
On the Game info step:
1. Specify the following:
  - Game name
  - Game link
  - Budget for sponsorship
2. Add any special information for the campaign (optional).
On the Creator info step:
1. Specify the links to the profiles of creators you want to work with.
2. Choose creators from the recommended ones (optional).
Click Submit campaign to complete campaign creation.
